About me

My name is María C. Ruiz-Haneberg, I am originally from Seville, Spain. I moved to USA in 2000 to work as a bilingual teacher in Cicero. Five years later, I started working at Lincoln school as a FLES teacher. In 2007, we had our daughters (twin girls Isabel and Sarah) and moved to London for two years. We came back to Oak Park in 2010 and I started teaching again part-time as a FLES teacher. This is my sixth year since we came back from London. This school year 2016-2017, I am working at two schools, Lincoln and Whittier. I am very excited and happy to be back to teach and share my language and culture with the Oak Park community. Thanks to my wonderful colleagues señora Jacoby at Lincoln and señora Dawn at Whittier for their warm welcoming at their schools.
